There are many friends, past students, fellow WASP, neighbors, other good people who have enjoyed and expressed interest in the Art of Dorothy Swain Lewis . . . In order to satisfy that interest, I (her son) have created this website to show the breadth and general quality of my mother's art, and perhaps, to organize a means to sell certain of the pieces of art, prints, at a fair price not dependent on the politics and the difficulties of formal gallery presentations. At her age, travel to various openings is not as enjoyable as it might have been once. My hope is that this will be an interesting means to explore some of her work, to perhaps be inspired by the humor, the compassion, the vision, the history, the beauty . . . simply the "art" of it all.
She has produced many paintings, drawings, mosaics, statues over the years. I hope you will enjoy this display.
